Closes Series A round of financing to fund growth

NEEDHAM, Mass. – July 21, 2005 – HiWired today launched a new line of consumer and small office/home office technology management programs and packages including: Worry Free PC, complete security protection; Identity Safe Package, protection from online identity theft; Productive Home Office Package, complete set-up for a home office; Safe and Connected Family Plan, safe Internet use for children and technology to connect family members; and Connected on the Go Package, mobile productivity and access. HiWired delivers these programs and packages and other services remotely using advanced Internet-based tools – helping to eliminate costly and time consuming in-home and office visits by technicians. Unlike other nationally-branded in-home or remote tech management services, HiWired delivers solutions for the full range of today's most popular personal and small office devices and technology, including PCs, iPods, MP3 players, digital cameras, camera phones, wireless networks and others.

Initially introduced as LightFrog in 2004, HiWired reflects the company's even sharper focus on services and packages designed to make sure consumers and small businesses get a high level of enjoyment and productivity out of technology that helps them stay well connected – and wired – with family, friends, business and professional contacts and others.

In May, HiWired completed a round of Series A funding to further expand its operations, service offerings, and market its solutions with consumers nationwide. In addition, the company appointed Bruce Grant, former chairman of Tele2, a $6 billion European telecommunications company, to its Board of Directors.

"Consumers and small businesses want a service they can rely on seven days a week for all their personal and small business technology needs, and HiWired delivers this with convenient and cost-effective solutions," said Singu Srinivas, president, HiWired. "HiWired offers an alternative to services that depend on visits by technicians – and the added expense and inconvenience that brings. In addition, HiWired provides solutions for all their technology needs – and not just for their PCs."

HiWired also appointed a Board of Advisors comprised of senior executives with extensive consumer electronics, Internet, business development and financing experience to help advise the company on business strategy, operations, brand development and other areas. Members include Larry Blanford, president and CEO of Royal Group Technologies and former president and CEO of Philips Consumer Electronics North America; Joel Rosen, a venture partner with Charles River Ventures and former president and CEO of Navisite; Damon Tassone, CEO of Travelocity Europe; and Elad Yoran, CEO of Security Growth Partners and former co-founder of Riptech, Inc., a managed security services provider.
