Larry Blanford: President and Chief Executive Officer, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc.
Larry Blanford is President and Chief Executive Officer of Green Mountain Coffee
Roasters, Inc. He also serves as a director on the board. Larry joined the company in
May, 2007, taking on the position previously held by founder Bob Stiller. Larry's
experience leading high-growth companies and in consumer products, appliance
manufacturing and international markets, are all assets in the company's
growth. Larry embraces the company's culture, passion, and entrepreneurial nature as
well as the commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Most recently, Larry held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Royal Group
Technologies Ltd., an approximately $2 billion (Canadian) North American building
products and home improvements company. Prior to the Royal Group, he was President
and Chief Executive Officer of Philips Consumer Electronics North America, where he
was responsible for sales of approximately $2 billion. During his tenure with both
Royal Group and Philips North America, Larry instilled a strong strategic and
operational planning discipline, which helped drive profitable sales growth. Prior
to Philips, Larry held positions that included President of Maytag Appliances,
President of Maytag International and Vice President of Marketing and National Account
Sales for the Building Insulation Division of Johns Manville as well as various
management positions earlier in his career at Procter & Gamble. Larry has introduced
innovative products under strong brands, including Flat TV™ from Philips and Maytag
Neptune™ horizontal frontload washing machine.
Larry holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and
an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
Dallas Clement: Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development, Cox Communications, Inc.
For almost two decades, Dallas Clement has been shaping policy and competitive strategy at Cox Communications, where he serves today as senior vice president of strategy and development. In this role, Dallas is responsible for resource prioritization, field alignment, competitive positioning and operational accountability related to Cox video, voice, high-speed Internet and wireless products and services. He also leads partnership and cross-industry initiatives focused on maximizing the company’s growth prospects.
Dallas’s career at Cox also includes positions as treasurer, manager of investment planning and director of finance. He joined Cox in 1990 as policy analyst, and in 1995, was named assistant treasurer for Cox Enterprises, Inc., the majority owner of Cox Communications. Prior to Cox, Dallas was a financial analyst at Merrill Lynch.
Dallas is the 2004 recipient of the National Cable Television Association Vanguard Award for Young Leadership and member of the Board of Directors for Simtrol, Inc. He holds an AB in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard College and an MS in Engineering-Economic systems from Stanford University.
Pat Kelly: Founder and Chief Operating Officer, OnState
Pat Kelly offers a wealth of experience applying technology to optimize the customer experience. As founder and chief operating officer of OnState, he leads the company in the delivery of new-generation call centers that use voice and Internet technologies to improve customer service and boost profit margins. Pat holds a variety of patents in the areas of intelligent call routing and performance management.
Prior to OnState, Pat was a board member and executive at Performix Technologies. His background also includes executive roles at GeoTel Communications and Cisco Systems, as well as experience leading call center and telecommunications groups at Fidelity Investments.
Eric Pelander: Partner, Waterstone Management Group
Eric Pelander offers a wealth of expertise shaping strategies related to business growth, customer relations and marketing, mergers and integration, and business and operating model development. He is a partner at Waterstone Management Group, a strategic advisory firm that helps clients achieve goals in the areas of revenue growth, operational scaling and customer adoption.
Prior to Waterstone, Eric served as global leader of strategy and change services at IBM Business Consulting Services, one of the world’s largest strategy consultants. Eric was also a member of the IBM Global Business Leadership team and a select group of executives responsible for the acquisition and integration of the PriceWaterhouseCooper’s consulting practice into IBM.
Eric’s background also includes a position as senior vice president at Mainspring. As managing director of strategic advisory services for Ernst & Young, LLP, he grew the practice from launch to a global consultant network of hundreds, and served on the firm’s Consulting Services Executive Committee. A certified public accountant, Eric holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BBA from the College of William and Mary.
Joel Rosen: President and CEO, Tizor
As president and CEO, Joel Rosen drives the business strategy and day-to-day
operations of Tizor. Joel served as president and CEO of NaviSite, a managed services
infrastructure provider. At NaviSite, he led the company through a successful initial
public offering, grew revenue tenfold to $100 million, and oversaw the delivery of
services which were backed by industry-leading service level agreements. Previously,
Joel spent 10 years at Aspen Technology, where he played a key role in defining and
executing the strategy that grew revenues profitably from $6 million to $250 million,
and was part of the management team that brought the company public. As executive vice
president, he oversaw the product development, marketing, business development,
customer support and professional services functions for the majority of the company's
revenues. Most recently, Joel was a venture partner with Charles River Ventures, where
he focused on investments in the software and services sector. Earlier in his career,
Joel was a manager at Bain & Company and also worked in brand management at Procter &
Gamble. Joel earned an M.B.A. with high distinction from Harvard Business School and
an A.B. in economics from Harvard College. He is a director of Liquid Engines, Inc.
Charles Tyson: Senior Vice President Merchandising Technology Division, OfficeMax
Charles Tyson brings over two decades of hands-on retail experience to the HiWired Advisory Board. In his role as senior vice president of the Merchandising Technology Division, he has built the new department from ground up. In the process, Charles has led successful efforts to refocus the strategic vendor structure on market leaders, integrate merchant and supply chain collaboration, and launch new categories and value-added opportunities for HiWired partners.
Charles’ impressive resume includes the launch of a manufacturing company in China to produce private label products to US retailers, such as Target. He served as senior vice president of Technology at Office Depot and held a variety of executive positions at Caldor and RH Macy. Charles holds a BS from the City of London Metropolitan University in London, England.
